Blanchester Police Department reports

BLANCHESTER — The following report is generated from incident reports provided by the Blanchester Police Department. All those charged/arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

Blanchester police recently processed the following reports for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5. **This is not all calls and matters handled by officers, nor does it include ongoing investigations and follow-ups on cases from previous weeks**:

Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Bourbon St. for an assault. The victim’s girlfriend called, but the victim did not wish to make a report or pursue prosecution.

A business in the 100 block of S. Broadway St. reported a subject stealing a box of macaroni and cheese and donut holes. The investigation is still pending.

A 23-year-old Wilmington woman reported being threatened by a 22 year-old Blanchester man while visiting in the 100 block of S. Columbus St. Other witnesses were interviewed and the investigation is still ongoing.

A storage facility in the 700 block of Cherry Street reported three different campers/trailers on the property being broken into. The investigation into all three break-ins is still ongoing.

A 40-year-old Blanchester male and another male reported an argument over a vehicle occurred in the 100 block of S. Broadway St., where the other subject brandished a gun. The investigation in this matter is still ongoing.

A 36-year-old male was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Warren County. The male was arrested and turned over to Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

A 50-year-old Blanchester area man was arrested for trespassing at a business in the 400 block of E. Main St. The man, earlier that morning, was told to vacate the laundry room of an apartment building, and was offered services as well as a ride to a shelter. The male declined all services, and was warned about trespassing on others’ property. A few hours later, a passerby called due to a male being inside a parked vehicle at a closed business, with the car alarm going off. The male was taken to the Clinton County Jail.

A resident reported being harassed by her former stepmother over family property.

A Wilmington woman reported a domestic incident, which was found to occur outside of police jurisdiction. She was directed to the correct agency to file a report.

Officers responded to the 800 block of E. Center St. for a peacekeeper; a woman reported that her husband was threatening to break her car windows upon his arrival. An officer stood by until the woman departed.

School officials requested a welfare check on a student due to the student being absent several days. An officer found that the student enrolled in homeschooling.

An officer found property outside of the police station, which contained marijuana and a marijuana pipe. The items were placed into evidence.

A passerby reported a suspicious male in the 1000 block of Cherry Street that appeared to be seated in the grass. An officer located the male, who said he was fine and just sat down for a minute since he walked from New Vienna. The male declined assistance.

Officers responded to a suspected drug overdose in the 900 block of Cherry Street. Co-workers were administering CPR upon officers’ arrival. An officer administered Narcan to the male, who eventually became responsive. The subject was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital by Blanchester EMS.

A Cincinnati woman came to the police department to request a peacekeeper. It was found that the address was in Clermont County, but she did not have a phone. An officer connected her with Clermont County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded to four traffic crashes this week.
