Quaker offensive woes continue, drop DH to ONU

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The offensive woes continued for the Wilmington College team on Wednesday as Ohio Northern University swept the Quakers 9-0 in six innings and 1-0 an in Ohio Athletic Conference series at the WC Softball Complex.

Ohio Northern is 15-11 overall and 5-3 in the OAC. Wilmington is 10-14 in all games but 0-8 in the conference.

In game one, Izzy Rothrock fell to 1-4 with the loss. Avree Entler pitched the final inning. Logann Julian had two hits, including a double.

In the second game, Alexis Stringfellow gave up a run in the fourth but pitched well enough to win. The WC offense has not scored since April 4. McKenna Archey and Judaea Wilson had two hits each for the Quakers.

Wilmington hosts Marietta College for the program’s annual “Strike Out Cancer” series Saturday. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
