WILMINGTON — Logan Camp scored nine goals and Wilmington outscored Madeira 18-13 Thursday night at Alumni Field in high school lacrosse action.

“This was a tough fought, Region 8 team win,” Wilmington coach Adam Shultz said.

Camp also had two assists in the match. With this performance, Camp set a WHS varsity (since 2006) single game goals record (9) and single game points record (11), Shultz said.

The win came in the regular season home finale for WHS seniors Camp, Manny Castillo, Cam Dukes, Phil Fulton, Nino Gonzalez, Eric Maus, Thane McCoy, Azriel Reeder and Daniel Stevenson.

“I’m excited to send our seniors out on a high note,” Shultz said. “We knew if our shots found the net, that the Mustangs would be in trouble. I credit their squad for clawing back, but our green light lacrosse put them away.”

In addition to Camp’s scoring, Castillo had four goals while Gonzalez added two. McCoy, Maus and Patrick Tucker had one goal each.

Wilmington is 9-5 on the season and will play at Xenia 5:30 p.m. Monday.
