Tackett, Nichols power Hurricane to 8-1 victory

WAYNESVILLE — Jayden Tackett won his seventh game Tuessday as Wilmington pounded Waynesville 8-1.

Tackett (7-1) also had a hit at the plate.

Sam Nichols blasted a pair of homeruns, his fourth and fifth of the season. He also drove in six runs.

Landon Flint and Alex Massie also had hits for the Hurricane.
