WILMINGTON — Led by seniors Owen Goodwin and Andy Steed, Clinton-Massie won its third straight SBAAC American Division match.
Playing at the Elks 797 Golf Club Monday afternoon, Goodwin and Steed carded 1-under par 35s as Massie held off Batavia 153 to 161.
“Batavia played really well and we were fortunate to come out with the win,” Clinton-Massie coach Phil Larrick said.
The Falcons have 42 stroke lead over Batavia through three matches.
Steed and Goodwin remain 1-2 in the individual standings, with Steed holding a three-shot lead over his teammate.
Gunnar Martin of Wilmington is 15 shots behind Steed in third place.
Brody Reynolds was the Hurricane medalist on the day with a 5-over 40.
Clinton-Massie’s Wyatt Scott had a career-best 42.
