WILMINGTON — Eaton won for the fifth time in its last seven matches Tuesday with a 25-17, 25-12, 25-23 victory over Wilmington at Fred Summers Court.
The loss ends Wilmington’s four-match win streak. The Hurricane is 8-10.
The Eagles are 10-7 on the year.
“They are a solid team but at this point in the season we have to apply what we tell them,” WHS head coach Stephanie Reveal said. “We missed too many serves, that is a mistake we can control. Sent them too many free balls and on good teams that just puts us on the defense. It’s very hard to get anything started on offense.”
WHS leaders were Miya Nance and Lilly Trentman with six kills each, Aidynne Tippett with 17 assists and Layla Reynolds with 15 digs and 13 passes. Nances had 12 passes.
