Terrell speaks at Sabina Public Library

On Thursday evening, the Sabina Public Library welcomed Wilmington Hope House director Katie Terrell as part of programming for Clinton County Reads 2024. Terrell spoke about her work with Hope House and engaged the audience about how the community can better serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Pictured, from left, are Sabina Public Library director and CCReads Steering Committee member Peggy Dunn, Terrell, and committee members Bonnie Starcher and Mary Thomas Watts. This year’s CCReads book, Tracy Kidder’s “Rough Sleepers,” is available at all public libraries in the county and through Books ‘n’ More at booksnmore.indielite.com.

WILMINGTON — On Wednesday morning, the Clinton County Courthouse became the backdrop for an event as local officials gathered for a special occasion. The “Donate Life Month” flag was raised, symbolizing a commitment to the life-saving acts of organ, tissue, marrow, and blood donation.

City announces upcoming Prairie Ave. closure

WILMINGTON – The City of Wilmington has announced a complete road closure on Prairie Avenue in the 700 block of the road on April 8, April 9, and April 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Prairie Avenue will reopen in the evening each day.

Drive-thru food pantry set for April 11 in Blanchester

BLANCHESTER — The local mobile food pantry will be a drive-thru food pantry until further notice, according to a news release. Those participating are asked to remain in their vehicles and have space available in their trunks for groceries.

WILMINGTON — Paul Jellison, general chairman of WIOH (the new FM radio station coming to Clinton County), will be the featured speaker at 9 a.m. Monday, April 8 at the 3M Men’s Club, which meets at the Ohio Living Cape May Campus Center.
