Stone Temple Pilots & Boyz II Men coming to the Ohio State Fair

COLUMBUS – Ohio State Fair officials have announced two more concerts in the 2024 Ohio State Fair Concert & Event Series, according to a news release. Four previous announcements were made on Jan. 19, Feb. 20, March 5, and March 19. Tuesday’s announcement, the fifth of six total announcements, includes early 2000s R&B favorite Boyz II Men with guest comedian Preacher Lawson, as well as famous alternative rock group Stone Temple Pilots with special guest Soul Asylum.

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. job openings barely changed in February, staying at historically high levels in a sign that the American job market remains strong.

Thousands of homes and businesses were without power Tuesday as severe weather roared through several states, causing at least one death and spawning possible tornadoes. Meanwhile, a spring snowstorm was expected to drop more than a foot of snow in Wisconsin.

Severe weather likely today across the area, local schools announce early dismissals

Residents of Clinton County are urged to take precautions as severe weather is expected this afternoon and tonight. According to Clinton County EMA Director Thomas Breckel, the National Weather Service (NWS) predicts severe weather conditions including strong winds exceeding 50 mph, sizable hail over one inch in diameter, and the possibility of multiple tornadoes, some of which may be potent for the area.

English Club celebrates St. Patrick’s Day at March meeting

The March meeting of the Clinton County English Club was held Friday, March 1 in the McCoy’s large party room. Eighteen members and three guests were welcomed by hostesses Avonelle Williams, Nancy Williams and Thelma Ledford. Tables were adorned in Irish décor and special shamrock-shaped sugar cookies.
