Butch and Connie Hooper of Leesburg will be celebrating their 50th anniversary on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

They were married June 10, 1967 at the Lees Creek United Church of Christ in Lees Creek, officiated by the Rev. Melvin Ritts. Maid of honor was Anita (Murphy) Roberts and serving as best man was Bobby Joe Hooper.

Connie is the daughter of the late Thomas J (TJ) and Mary (Susie) Sharp. Butch is the son of the late Vernon and Margaret Hooper.

Butch is employed at Edward Jones and has an office in Wilmington. Connie is a homemaker also serving as a caretaker and meal provider for their 11 grandchildren. Both Butch and Connie attend every athletic event they can for their grandchildren as well.

Their daughters, Stephanie (Glen) Blessing, Angie (Dwayne) Luttrell, and Amy Hooper will be hosting a reception for family and friends at the Lees Creek Community Building 2-5 p.m. Saturday, June 10. The girls ask all family and friends that are able to stop by and celebrate with Butch and Connie.
