A 100th birthday celebration will be held for Helen Shook from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 at Ohio Living Cape May in Wilmington.

She was born Aug. 5, 1917 in Beaver, Ohio to Albert and Mary Agnes Roach. She was married on Aug. 5, 1936 to Theodore Roosevelt Shook, who passed away in 1985.

Their children are Karen McIntyre (Len) of Bigelow, Ark. and Shelby Evans (Bill) of Wilmington.

She sold Avon for more than 30 years and enjoys sewing and gardening.

She is a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Columbus.
