‘Bucket brigade’ sings carols

Along with the usual bell-ringing, live singing was presented by three generations Monday afternoon in the Wilmington Kroger lobby as part of the Salvation Army’s seasonal fund drive. From left are Elizabeth Miller, her granddaughter Evelyn and Evelyn’s mother, Marian Miller. Elizabeth said singing Christmas carols has prompted smiles, hugs, thank-yous, customers joining in song and, she believes, more donations.
