Pork Pride 4-H active in community

The Pork Pride 4-H Club met at Cuba Friends Church on Sunday, April 28 with 22 in attendance.

Secretary Mikala Hatfield called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. Greg Achtermann led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Samantha Achtermann led us in the 4-H Pledge. Mikala Hatfield gave the Secretary’s Report. Katie Pittman gave the Treasurer’s Report.

Randy Pinkerton talked about tag in dates, no pollorum testing this year for poultry, projects in possession by May 1 and Fancy Chicken Entry Form in by May 1.

Randy discussed that the Survivor Training date will have to be changed. The car wash was changed from May 18 to May 25 from 1-3 p.m. at Peoples Bank. The sausage is in for those who sold sausage.

The next meeting will be May 19 at 6 p.m.at Cuba Friends Church with Greg Achtermann leading the Pledge of Allegiance, Eddie Huston leading the 4-H Pledge, the Pinkerton family will provide the snacks and Samantha Achtermann will have a demonstration.

Keiarra Huston and Ashley Clifton did a demonstration on healthy eating. Keiarra and Ashley prepared spaghetti using wheat noodles for our snack.

The meeting adjourned at 6:29 p.m.

The group enjoyed the wonderful snack that Keiarra Huston and Ashley Clifton prepared!
