Changes to free Monday paper

0

You may have noticed that the News Journal’s free Monday newspaper/”shopper” — the Star Community Guide — now looks a bit different, and is a bit smaller.

The paper, primarily a vehicle for delivering weekend ads to Clinton County homes, is now just 2 pages (a “wrap”) due to the rising costs of paper and printing, as well as the costs of housing it online with an e-edition service that we contract with. It also no longer contains The Amish Cook column or the puzzles.

However, it will continue to feature the gardening column by Steve Boehme and the area Community Calendar.

The weekly Amish Cook column will soon begin appearing weekly in the News Journal, so WNJ subscribers will now be able to read The Amish Cook both in print and on the online e-edition and continue to enjoy the puzzles, comics and more five days a week with a News Journal subscription.

Thank you.
