AMES hosts public tours Thursday at air park

WILMINGTON –Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services invites you and your family to attend its Spring Open House and Tour at the Wilmington Air Park 1-7 p.m. Thursday, May 9.

Airborne recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and would like everyone to experience firsthand the job opportunities they offer to all skill and experience levels. They have grown both the scope and size of their business right here in Wilmington.

They provide maintenance services to major international cargo and passenger airlines including heavy maintenance, aircraft parts repair and manufacturing, plus they provide engineering services and cutting-edge technology developments including Supersonic Particle Deposition.

North America will need 127,000 Aircraft Maintenance Technicians with the global demand being 679,000 by 2035. The time to get involved in aviation maintenance is now. Whether you are an aviation enthusiast or looking for a new skilled trade, this tour is perfect to learn more about Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services.

Tours are open to the public and no appointment is needed. Anyone over 18 years of age, please bring with you a valid government-issued picture ID.
