BLANCHESTER — A man faces several charges for recent incidents, according to Blanchester police.

Police Chief Scott Reinbolt stated in a news release that early Sunday morning Bryan Mettler, 45, of the 300 block of North Columbus Street, “reported to police that a neighbor used profanity toward him.”

An officer responded and spoke to the neighbor, Michael Moore, 46, “who denied the allegation and who was able to produce home security video footage showing that not only was the allegation false, but that Mettler had been engaged in a pattern of stalking Moore’s wife,” said Reinbolt.

Officers then went to Mettler’s residence and placed him under arrest for making false alarms (false police report) and menacing by stalking, Reinbolt said.

“He was taken to the Clinton County Jail where he was held pending the posting of an appearance bond,” said Reinbolt. “Mettler has been charged with disorderly conduct twice in the past six weeks for incidents involving several of his neighbors.”
