WILMINGTON — The annual Memorial Day Parade organized by the American Legion Post 49 will be held on Monday, May 27.

It will begin at 10 a.m. on East Locust Street then travel to North South Street, making a left turn heading south.

The parade will then turn right onto West Truesdell Street and end with a ceremony in Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Streets will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 11 a.m.

Port William sets memorial service

PORT WILLIAM — The Port William Memorial Day Service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 26 in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Speaker will be Clinton County Commissioner Mike McCarty. Wilmington American Legion Post 49 Color Guard will fire the salute. (If raining, the service will be at the Port William Methodist Church.)

Clarksville-Vernon Alumni meet

Members and friends of the Clarksville-Vernon Alumni will meet Saturday, June 1 at the Wilmington Savings Bank Senior Center at 789 Nelson Road, Wilmington.

A hospitality hour will begin at 5 p.m. with buffet dinner at 6 p.m. and the meeting to follow. Everyone is encouraged to bring any items of interest associated with the school or the Clarksville area to share.

Anyone who has had an association with the Alumni, Clarksville school or Clinton-Massie is welcome to attend.

Reservations can be made by contacting Joyce Rittenhouse Peters, 17 Meadow Run Trail, Wilmington, OH 45177 or by phone at 937-382-3041. The cost is $13 per person payable by check or cash.

Free Zumba classes for anyone

Free Zumba classes will be offered at the Wilmington Savings Bank Clinton County Senior Center to anyone interested in attending. Instructor will be Christina Addison and it will be held at 6 p.m. each Tuesday at the senior at 717 N. Nelson Ave., Wilmington beginning June 4. If you have any questions please call the center at 937-382-7170.

The unaudited basic financial statement for the Clinton County Park District for the year ended Dec. 31, 2018 are complete and available for inspection in the Clinton County Commissioner’s Office, 46 S. South St., Suite #213, Wilmington.
