WILMINGTON — Being 100 years old is something to celebrate, and the Clinton County Farm Bureau has found a distinctive way to commemorate their organization’s centennial.
Barns have been a staple of the countryside for generations, and one local barn is getting a makeover thanks to local artist Duane Richard. He is emblazoning the Ohio Farm Bureau’s centennial logo on a barn located on Schappacher Farms near Wilmington.
This barn will be one in a series of barns that will get the vintage Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) mark.
“This is a great opportunity for county farm bureaus and their members to honor the heritage and success of our organization over the past 100 years,” said Adam Sharp, executive vice president of Ohio Farm Bureau.
“Using these treasured barns as a platform will help in sharing the message about the deep history of Farm Bureau’s past and the strength of our future,” he said.
