Discussions of ‘Mueller Report’ slated

WILMINGTON — Clinton County A.C.T. (Alliance for Compassion and Truth) will sponsor “Reading the Mueller Report Together,” at five public book club-style discussions of “The Mueller Report,” starting Saturday, June 29 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Wilmington Public Library.

Subsequent Saturday morning sessions, also at the library, will be on July 6, 13, 20, and 27. All discussions will be led by experienced book club facilitators.

A nonfiction bestseller since its publicationin April, “The Mueller Report” is the official narrative of the Special Counsel’s investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Elaine Silverstrim, coordinator for “Reading the Mueller Report Together,” says, “As engaged, informed citizens, A.C.T. is committed to comprehending the report’s findings and reflecting on what the findings mean for our democracy. Everyone who is interested in carefully exploring and respectfully discussing this important document is welcome.”

According to Silverstrim, the first session will be devoted to the Introduction and Summary of Volume I, pages 1-10.

The July 6 discussion will focus on the Introduction and Executive Summary for Volume II, pages 1-8. Participants’ interests will determine which sections of the 448-page report will be discussed in the three remaining sessions.

Participants are responsible for obtaining their own copies of the report, which are available from local online bookseller, Books ’n’ More, at https://booksnmore.indielite.org , other online and brick and mortar booksellers, and as a free downloadable PDF at http://www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf .
