WARREN COUNTY – A Lebanon man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.
The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash which occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. on State Route 350 about a half-mile east of State Route 123, Washington Township, Warren County.
A 2006 red Cadillac Deville, operated by Dexter L. Atkins, 60, of Lebanon, was traveling westbound on SR 350. A 2006 white Dodge Ram 2500, operated by James L Trammel, 68, of Oregonia, was traveling eastbound on State Route 350. The Cadillac traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected traveling left of center and was struck head-on by the Dodge, according to the OSHP.
Atkins, the driver of the Cadillac Deville, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and was pronounced dead at the scene, the OSHP stated. Trammel was transported to University of Cincinnati West Chester Hospital with non-life threatening injuries by Turtlecreek Township Fire/EMS
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Turtlecreek Township Fire/EMS, and the Warren County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
