POMEROY, Ohio (AP) — Authorities are searching for a woman who fired shots into a car and killed her young grandchild’s paternal grandmother during a scheduled visitation exchange in eastern Ohio.

Meigs County court records show an aggravated murder warrant was issued Thursday for 45-year-old Tammy Nease, of Pomeroy. She’s wanted in Wednesday’s fatal shooting of 42-year-old Kelli Markins, of Pomeroy. Markins was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office says the child was inside Nease’s home where the exchange was to take place. Markins and the boy’s father had gone there to pick up the child, whose age and gender hasn’t been released.

Pomeroy is roughly 98 miles southeast of downtown Columbus.
