Keeping cool at VBS

After playing outside, Cayden Moore, 6, enjoys a cup of ice cream (and popcorn, not visible) during Vacation Bible School at the Wilmington Church of God.

The Wilmington Church of God held a Vacation Bible School (VBS) this past week. The theme was “Roar”. There were inflatables and plenty of cooling-off water activities outdoors Friday morning. One activity was a variation of dodgeball, where soaked sponges instead of balls are thrown at members of the opposing team. The church is located off South Nelson Avenue. A closing program was held Sunday evening at the church.
