Modern Woodmen donate to Angel House

Modern Woodmen of America members in Sabina Chapter 5994 came together to donate supplies and food items to help stock a food pantry and kitchen for the Angel House located on Xenia Avenue in Wilmington.

“We are so happy to support our community in this way,” said Connie Adams, local Modern Woodmen volunteer leader. “Events like this give our members an opportunity to make a difference.”

The Angel Hands Program at the Angel House/Halo helps women that are expecting or have a newborn who need a little extra help. This program offers material items, personal items, and limited monetary help.

The Halo is located right next door and has a large selection of household items as well as clothing and much more. They hold a rummage sale twice a month.

To inquire more about this program, or set an appointment, you may call 937-283-7976.

Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, the fraternal financial services organization’s Summit chapters, chapters and youth service clubs provide opportunities for members to take part in social and educational activities and volunteer projects to meet local needs.

For more information or to get involved, contact Adams at 937-383-3400 or [email protected].
