Stand ‘Silent Watch’ for veterans

On average, 20 military veterans take their own life every day.

The Clinton County Veterans Service Office has planned a “Silent Watch” event to increase awareness of the suicides in the veteran community.

Veterans and non-veterans will stand a silent watch for 20 minutes at a time in front of a flag-draped casket at the Clinton County Veterans Memorial on Sunday, Sept. 15 beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.

If you would like to give 20 minutes of your time to stand a silent watch, contact the Clinton County Veterans Service Office at 937-382-3233.

Antioch Road open

The Antioch Road improvement project is now complete and the road is open, the Clinton County Engineer’s Office announced Monday.
