At the 2019 Art & Soul Fest there were many, varied dreamcatchers at the booth of Katie Gilkison of Wilmington, who no surprise specializes in handmade dreamcatchers. The name of her business is The Woven Muse.
An intermediate dance team from the Wilmington Performing Arts Studio was dancing in the street — Sugartree Street — at the Art & Soul Fest.
Three wreathmakers went together and set up a booth packed with colorful and seasonal wreathes. Checking out the creations are mother Jerrica Smith and daughter Della. The wreathmakers are Becky Guzzi, Debbie Sandlin and Mary Fry.
At work in the South Street Gallery’s booth are, from left, John Schum of the Gallery and his student Scott Gallimore. Schum is well-known for his work in stained glass.
The Art & Soul Fest included fun times such as when artist Mary Beth Thorngren, left, helps place a Marie Antoinette wig on artist Elena Raye Clair, right, while Wilmington College art professor Hal Shunk, center, joins the fun and dons a distinctive-looking hat adorned with feathers and more.

In the foreground from left, Zach Davis and Emily Walls paint a depiction of the Murphy Theatre on the street. The roadway art was a project engaged in by members of the Wilmington High School Key Club and Interact Club and general art students.
