Free tax preparation will be held at sites in Wilmington, Blanchester and Sabina from Feb. 8 through April 9.

The tax service is available by appointment and will be provided by certified AARP volunteers. AARP Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest free volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service for limited and moderate income individuals. The program is available to taxpayers of any age. More than 95 percent of the tax returns are E-filed.

The volunteer preparers are trained and certified by AARP and the Internal Revenue Service. Some returns are beyond the scope of the service including businesses with inventory, a loss, or expenses over $10,000 and non-farm rental property.

• Appointments can be made for the Wilmington Public Library site, 268 N. South, Wilmington by calling 937-382-2417. Hours available are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays beginning Feb. 12.

• Appointments can be made for the Blanchester Public Library site, 110 Broadway, Blanchester by calling -937-783-3585. Hours available are 1-4 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning Feb. 9.

• Appointments can be made for the Sabina Public Library site, 111 E Elm St., Sabina by calling 937584-2319. Hours available are 1-4 p.m. on Mondays beginning Feb. 8.
