The Wilmington College women’s basketball team and head coach Jerry Scheve spoke to Wilmington Kiwanis on Thursday about their upcoming 2019-2020 season.

This is the sixth year that the team has started the Kiwanis’ new year (October 2019-September 2020) as program speakers.

The club also inducted two new members, David Burton and Stephanie Walker, representing Person Centered Services as a corporate member.

Division 4 Lt. Gov. Marcia Hudson of Kettering-Centerville Kiwanis Club inducted new Wilmington Kiwanis President Kim Hiatt and club officers for 2019-2020.

This Saturday, Oct. 26, Kiwanis will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast at the Wilmington Presbyterian Church, 840 Timber Glen Road, from 8 a.m.-noon. Cost is $5 per person for all you can eat, and children 12 and under eat free.

Funds raised help with Wilmington Kiwanis’ various community service projects such as Key Clubs, 4-H, Boy Scouts, and the BUGs program.
