The East Clinton FFA held their annual Veterans Day Assembly on Nov. 8 as many students invited their relatives to be honored.

Along with the FFA, East Clinton’s Magnified Giving helped set up the assembly, and set the white table. The East Clinton Chorus sang the “Star Spangled Banner” and the band played the song “The Pacific”.

FFA officers and members helped students from the school learn more about Veterans Day by teaching its history and about each of the branches of the military, what each fold of the flag means, the meaning behind the white table, and much more.

Guest speaker Sgt. Larry Anderson presented his reason for joining the military and all of the good qualities of the military.

Along with the assembly, FFA members and East Clinton staff provided a breakfast for the veterans. Students got to enjoy eating with their family and friends before the assembly. The East Clinton Staff and FFA members showed their appreciation for all the veterans by presenting them with a medallion.

Thank you to all our veterans for attending the ceremony and also to everyone who helped with the program.
