Here are the Wilmington High School Students of the Month for November:
English Department: Gabriel Reeder
The English Department would like to recognize Gabriel Reeder this month. Gabe has done a great job with our current book. Gabe participates in class discussion with insight and critical thinking. His attitude creates a positive environment for all students in the class.
Social Studies Department: Miguel Espinoza-Allen
Miguel Espinoza-Allen has done a great job this quarter leading by example. He is not a very vocal participant in class but he has been attentive and visibly working hard to understand the class material. He also carries himself very well as he is respectful to classmates and adults in the building.
Science Department: Mikayla Bond
The Science Department would like to recognize Mikayla Bond. Mikayla is currently taking Biology and works very hard in her class to succeed. She is always the first person to reach out and help her classmates or team up with someone that doesn’t have a partner. Thanks, Mikayla for your kindness in my room and your drive to want to do well in class.
Math Department: Gracie Sutton
The Math Department would like to recognize Gracie Sutton. Gracie works hard every day in Geometry class. She completes her work on time, makes up work when she is absent and helps peers when they need help. Gracie is always a positive person in the classroom and asks questions when she needs more information. Keep up the great work Gracie!
Ag Ed Department: Landon Jones
October Student of the Month is Landon Jones. Landon has not missed a single FFA event all year. His passion grows each day for Ag & FFA. Landon is currently in 1st place for the Annual Fruit Sale this year.
Art Department: Bre Barnett
Breanna (Bre) Barnett continually puts in extra effort both inside and outside of class. She stays after school and takes projects home to improve upon her work. Her work ethic and dedication is an example to others in the class. Way to go, Bre!
Band Department: Ben Baylor
The Band program would like to recognize Ben Baylor as the November Student of the Month. Ben is a member of the Wind Ensemble and Marching Band where he also serves on the leadership team. Ben leads with care and encouragement, works to include all members in activities and provides inspiring leadership.
Theater Department: Chloe Williams
The Theater program recognizes Chloe Williams. In class and on stage Chloe works extremely hard. As one of the leads in our fall production, Chloe had her lines memorized after a few weeks of rehearsal. She puts a lot of effort into her classwork and her acting work. She is a pleasure to have in class and a role model to other students and actors.
