Paolo DeMaria, Superintendent of Public Instruction for the Ohio Department of Education, recently visited Blanchester High School where he was greeted by student leaders. “I asked my excellent tour guides to reflect on why their school is such a great place to learn,” DeMaria said via Twitter. He watched as teacher Andrea Harpen’s students showcased “the wonders of chemistry by demonstrating themed experiments for a fourth-grade class. Wow! I love that creativity and collaboration is so embraced by the district. She is an inspiring and energetic educator!” DeMaria added, “I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to @BlanHS and met yet another fantastic school leader” in Principal Pandy McCarty.
