WILMINGTON — The News Journal hosted Santa Claus and the community’s kids for its annual event Friday afternoon — at the News Journal’s new location at 1547 Rombach Ave. — that includes pictures with Santa, games for the kids and treats, and the chance to check out a fire truck and police car and meet firefighters and officers. A special thanks goes out to the Wilmington Fire Department, Wilmington Police Department, and especially Mike Daugherty. The kids’ photos with Santa will all be published in an edition of the News Journal closer to Christmas.
