Clinton County Retired Teachers meet

The Clinton County Retired Teachers’ Association met on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington for our annual Christmas meeting, with the meal catered by Shoelaces Catering.

Members brought homemade goods to sell to raise money for our scholarship fund. Our program consisted of a presentation by the Clintonaires. The group sang many songs of the season and next they led a sing-a-long with the whole group.

Another part of the meeting was the installation of our new officers for 2020: President Richard Peck, Vice President Barbara Hameister, Secretary Barb Glass, Assistant Secretary Donna Gibson, Treasurer Nancy Williams, and Assistant Treasurer Judy Sargent. The outgoing president is Lorry Swindler.

We also had a memorial for the members who had passed away during 2019. A candle was lit and a poem read.
