Heather’s Hope donates for kids

Representatives from Heather’s Hope recently presented a check for $1,725 to Erin Crosby of the Cincinnati office of the American Diabetes Association.

This donation will sponsor three children from Clinton County to attend Camp Korelitz in August. Camp Korelitz, held at Camp Joy each year for one week, is for children with diabetes from Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. It provides a chance for young campers with diabetes to experience all the fun, adventure and memories that summer camp offers to all children.

Heather’s Hope is a local organization funded by friends and family of Heather James, who died in 2008 from complications of Type 1 diabetes. Proceds from the organizations fundraisers, along with generous donations from civic groups and citizens, allow Heather’s Hope to help Clinton County residents with the financial responsibility of managing their diabetes through a quarterly donation to the Clinton County Health Department. For more information or to make a donation, please contact Heather’s Hope at P.O. Box 423, Wilmington, OH 45177.
