Man charged with carry-out robbery, assault indicted; grand jury hands down 14 other indictments

WILMINGTON — In the wake of a grand jury’s indictment, the defendant in the Hidden Carry-Out robbery and assault in December will have his final pretrial hearing later this month.

Jason Daniel Reeder, 42, of Wilmington, was indicted on charges of robbery (F2) and telecommunications fraud (F5). The alleged assault of the clerk is contained within the wording of the indictment’s robbery charge.

The telecommunications fraud charge pertains to Reeder’s alleged theft of Ohio Lottery Instant scratch-off tickets. He then allegedly exchanged stolen, winning lottery tickets taken from Hidden Carry-Out for cash at different Wilmington businesses.

The clerk, Carl Butts, reportedly was knocked temporarily unconscious during the robbery.

A Clinton County grand jury also recently indicted Bryant L. Bart, 33 of Wilmington, on a charge of gross sexual imposition (F3).

The indictment paperwork alleges Bart had sexual contact with a person younger than 13 during the time period of January 2014 through December 2016.

Roger T. Romero, 56 of Sabina, was indicted on one count of vehicular assault (F4) and one count of failing to stop after an accident (F4).

The charge of vehicular assault alleges Romero, while driving a motor vehicle on Aug. 20, 2019, caused serious physical harm to somebody due to recklessness. The second count alleges that Romero failed to remain at the scene of the injury accident.

Elisha W. Collett, 25 of Wilmington, was indicted on a count of aggravated trafficking in drugs (F2) and on a count of aggravated possession of drugs (F2).

Both charges relate to methamphetamine, and both point to Oct. 3, 2019 as the time of the alleged activity.

Other recent indictments

Marshall Allen Faries, 38 of Blanchester, was indicted on a charge of possessing a Fentanyl-related compound. He also was indicted on a charge of theft, and on two counts of forgery.

Holli E. Faries, 27 of Blanchester, was indicted on a charge of petty theft, and two counts of forgery.

David William Harnish, 38 of Middletown, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs in Clinton County.

Joshua D. Harris, 41 of the Blanchester area, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs.

Michael A. King Jr., 32 of the Sabina area, was indicted on a charge of burglary.

Robert W. Roth, 42 of the Xenia area, was indicted on a charge of aggravated possession of drugs in Clinton County.

Michael E. Fisher, 45 of the Clarksville area, was indicted on a charge of receiving stolen property, a charge of tampering with evidence, and on two counts of tampering with identifying numbers.

Ashley M. Maynard, 24 of the Wilmington area, was indicted on a charge of tampering with evidence.

Maria S. Hall, 38 of Midland, was indicted on a charge of theft.

Joshua C. Morton, 37 of Morrow, was indicted on a charge of receiving stolen property in Clinton County.

Tessa A. Holsinger, 21 of Hillsboro, was indicted on two counts of failing to appear in court in Clinton County.

Christopher L. Pike, 36 of Batavia, was indicted on failing to appear in court in Clinton County.
