Students earn Miami honors

Miami University students ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within each division for first semester 2019-20 have been named to the dean’s list:

Locals honored are: Hailey Schatzmann and Samantha McIntire; Stephanie Gerlach of Blanchester; and Taylor Warren and Andrew Holland of Clarksville.

Ellis joins Stromberg Chiropractic

David Ellis, D.C. has joined Stromberg Chiropractic in Wilmington as their new full-time chiropractor.

The Wilmington native has 37 years of experience and specializes in treating neck and back pain and headaches, as well as victims of vehicle accidents and work injuries.

Stromberg Chiropractic is at 757 Fife Ave. (across from the college); phone 937-382-1727.

Locals on Alabama dean’s list

Local students were named to the 2019 fall semester President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s) at the University of Alabama: Alexandra Marie Raborn of Clarksville and Makayla Lynn Creed of Lynchburg.

Fundraiser for Angel House

A charity auction for the Angels Awaiting Maternity Home Angel House located in Wilmington will be held at noon Saturday, May 2 at the South Side Church of Christ, 921 S. Fayette St., Washington Court House. All purchases are tax-exempt.

This is the group’s biggest fundraiser; in 2019 they were able to assist 32 women who were pregnant and needed a little help.

People are also asked to donate money for underwriting and/or items that can be sold to raise funds.

Mobile food pantry in Blan

A Food for All Mobile Pantry will be at the Blanchester Church of Christ, 911 Cherry St., on Thursday, Feb. 13. TEFAP eligibility income requirements of 200 percent at or above the federal poverty line apply.

Food will be distributed 11 a.m.-1 p.m.. Please bring a photo ID and a recent piece of mail with your current address. Also, you will need a basket, bags or boxes to carry your food.

Locals on Kettering College list

Students on the Kettering College Dean’s List with a GPA of 3.50 or above include Bethanie Brown of Blanchester; and Sophie Cockman and Kyle Eikenberry of Wilmington.
