DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A man shot and wounded his 15-year-old daughter during a dispute inside their Dayton home, authorities said.

Steven Brandy, 55, faces a felonious assault charge stemming from Sunday night’s shooting. It wasn’t known if he’s retained an attorney.

The teen initially called 911 around 5:30 p.m. and said her father had physically assaulted her, city police said. She also said her father had a knife and razor, but said she did not need medical attention.

Another 911 call from the home was made moments later, when a man who police said was Brandy reported that he had just shot his daughter and that she needed medical help. The teen then called 911 herself to report the shooting.

The girl was being treated at a hospital, but her name and further details on her condition were not released. It wasn’t clear if anyone else was in the home when the shooting occurred.

Authorities have not said what the teen and her father were arguing about.
