Drive-in prayer for doctor

There will be a drive-in prayer service around sundown at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 in the parking lot of Dr. Jeffrey Manser’s office at 1150 W. Locust St., Wilmington.

Participants will “unite together to lift up prayers for healing for Dr. Manser from the health issues that COVID-19 has caused in his body,” said CMH Chaplain Veronica Grabill. “We welcome those who would like to join us, but remember to stay in your car with your headlights on as we continue the social distancing.”

Dr. Manser remains hospitalized in Cincinnati.

County jobless rate 6 percent

Clinton County’s official unemployment rate for March was 6.0 percent, according to the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (JFS) in a news release Tuesday.

However, an Ohio JFS spokesperson said people should keep in mind that the full impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on jobs will not be seen in unemployment rates until the April reports (released in May) because the survey of businesses each month concludes on the 12th.

Ohio’s first executive order to shut down businesses occurred on March 15.

Projected re-schedule date is next year, the second Saturday of June, 2021. Invitation letters and information will be sent at a later time. Honored classes for this year will be recognized with the honored classes of next year. Please mark your calendars and plan to be with us next year.
