Over the past couple days, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office has received complaints in reference to residents receiving scam phone calls.

The caller tells victims they have a warrant for their arrest and are sometimes using deputies’ names to legitimize the call. The caller is asking victims for payment to avoid arrest in the form of gift cards or money transfers.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office would like the public to know we do not ask for payment over the phone. If you receive one of these calls, please hang up and contact your local law enforcement agency.
