Pork Pride 4-H meets virtually, set for fair

The Pork Pride 4-H Club met virtually on Sunday, June 14 with 20 in attendance. President Stanley Chesney called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.

Taylor Garringer led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Isaac Chesney led us in the 4-H Pledge. Mikala Hatfield gave the Secretary’s Report. Taylor Garringer gave the Treasurer’s Report.

Randy Pinkerton went over watching for emails from Tracie Montague; a full fair will be going on with modifications; FCS will get to do their projects; get your Quality Assurance virtual meetings in; 4-H and Cloverbud camps are closed this year; Skill-a-thon will be during the fair; July 10 is Pre-Fair Judging; July 10 from 3-7 p.m. you need to get your FCS projects into the Junior Fair Building; Wristband Pickup is July 8 from 5-8 p.m. and July 10 from 3-7 p.m.; there is only one entrance to the fair; July 4 fireworks at the fairgrounds this year; there will be limited concessions and no rides this year.

Judy Hatfield did a demonstration on FCS projects that you can do for 4-H. Community service was discussed. Remember to send your cards out. Keep checking the Facebook group for Pork Pride for updates and projects to do.

The next meeting is Sunday, June 28 at 7 p.m. with Isaac Chesney leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Mikala Hatfield leading us in the 4-H Pledge.
