WILMINGTON — The Murphy Theatre invites community members to #lightupthemurphy by playing a part in its weekly marquee messages. The contest will run from July 1 through July 31, with a new winner and message being announced every Monday.
Have you been following the Murphy marquee messages? As part of the theatre’s month-long fundraising campaign, #lightupthemurphy, Murphy supporters invite you to submit your clever sayings, inspirational quotes or a joke to be displayed.
“This is an opportunity for our community to have a little fun, inspire our neighbors and remind people that we are here, waiting until it is safe to open,” said Director of Marketing Andrew Conarroe.
“The fun thing about our 30-day campaign is we have considered every opportunity for people to give. Whether it be their time, talent or monetary contributions, we want this to be a community-wide effort to support this awesome theatre!” Conarroe said.
Submit your entries to [email protected] , on Facebook or by mail to 50 W. Main Street to be considered. You may submit as many entries as you wish during the campaign.
In addition to bragging rights, each winner will win two tickets to a future Murphy Theatre show of your choice.
