Orion artwork submitted for April show

ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Pieces of heART Studio, located at the Orion Center on State Route 730 in Clinton County, has entered six paintings to be considered for the 2016 Art & Soul Art Show in Greene County.

The show is a regional juried exhibit representing 22 counties. Only 40 entries will be picked to be on display. The show will be held in Toward Independence Inc., located at 81 E. Main St. in Xenia.

An opening night as well as an artists awards reception ceremony will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 8.

Artwork by the following artists from Pieces of heART Studio was submitted: Dennis Berwanger’s “Windmills Of My Mind,” Jenny Rocheleau’s “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken,” Sarah Wertz’s “Taking Care Of Business,” Jerrod Rangel’s “Two For The Road,” Mary Johnson’s “Party Time” and Emilee Jaskowiak’s “Gluten Free.”

Jennifer Steele, the Pieces of heART Studio coordinator, said, “Pieces of heART artists have been very successful with this exhibit the past four years, bringing home top awards and cash prizes.”

Pieces of heART Studio represents artists with disabilities. All artwork they create is for sale, and each artist receives a percentage of those sales.
