Testing site Wednesday in Fairborn

A COVID-19 pop-up testing site will be available in Fairborn on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Anyone can get a no-cost test at this location.

No appointment is needed; anyone can walk in on the scheduled day. A health care provider’s referral is not needed.

Quantities may be limited.

This Ohio Department of Health COVID-19 pop-up testing will be available Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be held at the Wright State University Nutter Center, 3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy., Fairborn.

28 active cases in Clinton Co.

As of Monday afternoon Aug. 3, Clinton County had 28 active cases of COVID-19, three of whom are currently hospitalized.

Also as of Monday, there were a total of 61 people in Clinton County being currently monitored (isolated and quarantined), according to the Clinton County Health District.

Closed for bridge replacement

Beginning Monday, August 10, weather permitting, North Nelson Road will be closed for a bridge replacement.

This bridge is located between Center Road and Community Drive (Community Commons) in Union Township, Clinton County.

The last address accessible from the north is 1703 North Nelson Road, and the last address accessible from the south is 1635 North Nelson Road.

The project is anticipated to take four weeks, weather permitting.

Farm Bureau to hold Zoom meeting

Out of an abundance of caution, the Clinton County Farm Bureau is moving its annual meeting to a virtual meeting via Zoom.

The annual meeting will still be held on Tuesday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. Even though the meeting will not be held in person, there is still important work to be done, said a spokesperson.
