Providing cleaning and personal care items

WILMINGTON — Clinton County Community Action received CARES ACT funding through a CSBG allocation.

According to representatives from Community Action, their program will be utilizing some of the funding to provide cleaning and personal care items to Clinton County residents as cleaning is a necessary task when dealing with COVID-19.

Community Action would also like to acknowledge the local Lowe’s store for contributing the boxes for the items.

On Oct. 8 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. boxes will be available to Clinton County residents who are under the 200% poverty guidelines. Monthly incomes limits are: $2,127 for 1; $2,873 for 2; $3,620 for 3; $4,367 for 4; $5,113 for 5; and $5,860 for 6.

Proof of income for the prior 30 days, ID and proof of address will be needed to obtain a box. Boxes will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis.
