Maintenance work at railroad crossings on State Routes 72 and 134 in Clinton County will require closure of both routes, according to ODOT.
On Friday, Oct. 2, SR 134 will be closed at its junction with U.S. 68 (South Street) at Wilmington beginning at 8 a.m. for repairs by the CSX Railroad at the crossing between South Street and Davids Drive. The closure will be in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6. While the route is closed, traffic will be detoured by way of US 68 and SR 350.
Then on Saturday, Oct. 3, SR 72 will be closed between Weller and Roberts streets, just north of US 22 at Reesville, for contractors for the Indiana & Ohio Railroad to repair the crossing there.
The closure will be in effect through Saturday, Oct. 10. While SR 72 is closed, traffic will be detoured by way of US 22, SR 729, SR 435 and I-71. Motorists may also detour by way of US 22, SR 73, US 68 and I-71.
