Local Briefs: A reminder that the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner is canceled; local entities set upcoming meetings

No community dinner this year

A reminder: Clinton County’s annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner — which normally originates at Wendy’s in Wilmington and is delivered countywide — has been canceled due to the pandemic and resulting restrictions.

WCS board to meet

The Wilmington City Schools Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23 in the cafeteria at Wilmington Middle School, 275 Thorne Ave.

All meetings are open to the public. If you wish to address the board at the meeting on a non-agenda item, you must notify Treasurer Kim DeWeese at 937-283-7493 no later than 4 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the meeting. If you wish to address the board on agenda items, please notify the Treasurer any time prior to the meeting.

Board of health to meet

Clinton County Board of Health meets at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23 in the Community Room in the Clinton County Annex, 111 S. Nelson Ave. Wilmington. Watch the Clinton County Health District Facebook page for updates and the link to join the meeting, which is subject to social distancing and a mask.

Sabina meetings changed

The Sabina Village Council meeting of Nov. 26 will be moved to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, and the Dec. 24 meeting will move to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21.

Board of Health meetings

The Clinton County Board of Health regular meeting will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23.

The regular meeting for December will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14. The January meeting will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 25.

SSCC cancels meeting

The Southern State Community College Board of Trustees has cancelled their previously scheduled Nov. 18 meeting. Their next scheduled meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
