Two members of the Clinton County Knights of the York Cross of Honour (KYCH) Association were recently honored for their service.

The Ohio Priory Knights of the York Cross of Honour (KYCH) has bestowed the title of Hospitaler Emeritus on Curtis E. Fleisher, who has been a member of the Free and Accepted Masons for more than 40 years, and has served for over a decade as KYCH Hospitaler for Fayette County.

The Clinton County Chapter of the Ohio Priory of Knights of the York Cross of Honour includes all KYCH members in Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties.

Membership in the Ohio Priory is limited to York Rite Masons who are invited to join the Priory because of their distinguished service as the leader of a Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, and as the leader of a York Rite Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, a Council of Royal and Select Masons and a Commandery of Knight Templars.

Fleisher is a Past President of the Clinton County KYCH group and is a Past Worshipful Master of New Holland Lodge No. 392 Free and Accepted Masons. He has York Rite membership in Hillsboro Chapter No. 40 Royal Arch Masons, Chillicothe Council No. 4 Royal and Select Masons, and Highland Commandery No. 31 Knights Templar.

Robert E. Grim, a past deputy of the 8th Masonic District of Free and Accepted Masons (Clinton, Fayette, Greene and Pickaway counties), who is also a past president of the Clinton County KYCH group, was appointed to replace Fleisher as Hospitaler for Fayette County. He was also presented a special lapel pin and a certificate honoring him for 25 years of membership in the Ohio KYCH priory.

The duties of the county KYCH hospitaler includes coordinating county KYCH activities with the Ohio Priory and providing assistance to county KYCH members as needed.
