Drivers sentenced in Clinton County Municipal Court

The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following includes those who pled guilty or were found guilty between March 15, 2021 and March 19, 2021:

• Dusty Taylor, 27, of Clarksville, theft, fictitious registration, driving under suspension, obstructing official business, driving under suspension-failing to appear/pay fine, seat belt violation, sentenced to 210 days in jail, fined $2,700, assessed $810 court costs. Taylor must pay $546.98 to the victim and have no contact with them. Additional charges of driving under suspension-failing to reinstate, two additional counts of driving under suspension-failing to appear/pay fine, a passing violation, and additional seat belt violation were dismissed.

• Sean Jarrells, 37, of Hillsboro, O.V.I., sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), operator’s license suspended from Dec. 23, 2020 to Dec. 23, 2023, fined $1,075, assessed $135 court costs. Jarrells must take part in reporting probation and complete a three-day residential driver intervention program. Driving privileges granted effective April 9, 2021. ASL vacated. A going 66 in 55 mph speed zone charge was dismissed.

• John Robert Spisak, 35, of Wilmington, obstructing official business, fined 90 days in jail (suspended), fined $750, assessed $135 court costs. The offense was amended from an aggravated menacing charge. Spisak must take part in supervised probation. A non-contact order was vacated. A domestic violence charge was dismissed.

• Adam Doan, 30, of Martinsville, physical control of a vehicle while intoxicated, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $250, assessed $135 court costs. The offense was amended from an O.V.I. charge. Doan must commit no similar offenses for two years and complete non-reporting probation. ALS vacated.

• Deandre Glass, 25, of Port William, physical control of a vehicle while intoxicated, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $135 court costs. The offense was amended from an O.V.I. charge. Glass must complete a three-day non-residential driver intervention program and two years of non-reporting probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $250 of the fine. ALS vacated. Additional charges of marijuana possession, O.V.I.-low breathalyzer, and a left of center violation were dismissed.

• Allan Cottrell, 39, of Cincinnati, O.V.I.-under the influence, sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), operator’s license suspended from March 25, 2021 to March 25, 2022, fined $1,075, assessed $135 court costs. Cottrell must complete reporting probation and a three-day residential driver intervention program. ALS vacated. Driving privileges granted effective March 25, 2021. A traffic control device violation was dismissed.
