ATI and CCHS: Piloting history

WILMINGTON — The Clinton County History Center recently partnered with Air Transport International (ATI) to assist the organization in decorating their newly renovated pilot’s lounge with vintage Clinton County Air Force Base (CCAFB) photographs.

The 15 photographs were selected from the History Center’s archived photo repository and included images such as the original 1943-45 pilot’s lounge, base’s open house in 1948, memorable pilots and crewmen, as well as numerous images of planes such as the B-36, C-47, DC-3, and F-80 jet.

ATI presented the Center with a $500 donation on behalf of the project to to assist in preserving Clinton County’s valuable history.
