Dr. Santin to lead Ohio’s largest physician organization

WILMINGTON – Dr. Brian Santin of Ohio Vein & Vascular, based in Wilmington, was elected by the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) as President-Elect during the OSMA’s virtual annual meeting held April 9-11. Dr. Santin will serve as President-Elect from 2021-2022 and take the helm of the organization as President from 2022-2023.

“I am honored to help steer the course for the pre-eminent healthcare organization in Ohio, one that my late grandfather was a proud and active member of for more than 50 years as a urologist”, Dr Santin said.

The OSMA is a statewide medical association representing nearly 16,000 Ohio physicians, residents, fellows, medical students, and practice managers. The OSMA is dedicated to advancing the practice of medicine for physicians and their patients, advocating on behalf of Ohio physicians at the state level, and protecting the medical profession.

The OSMA is affiliated with the American Medical Association at the national level and county medical societies at the local level.

Dr Santin has been involved in leadership positions within the Ohio State Medical Association, serving three terms as an At-Large Councilor, past Chair of Audit & Appropriations Committee, and Board of Trustees Vice President of the OSMA Health Benefits Plan.

Dr. Santin serves as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Director of Vascular Services of Clinton Memorial Hospital (CMH).
