CCHD announces walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations next week

WILMINGTON – The Clinton County Health District (CCHD) is hosting Walk-In Clinics for COVID-19 vaccinations (Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer brands) on the campus of Southern State Community College (SSCC) in Wilmington the week of May 10.

Priority will be given to those individual who register in advance Individuals may register in advance at this at https://bookclintoncovidvax.timetap.com/#/ .

The clinics are:

• Monday, May 10 — 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (Johnson & Johnson or Pfizer)

• Wednesday, May 12 — noon-4 p.m. (Pfizer)

We will continue to accommodate those Clinton Countians who are not comfortable with online scheduling technology. Please call our office to schedule at 937-382-3829 and follow the message prompts to extension 114. Leave a message and a representative from our office will call you back to schedule.

The Pfizer vaccine is a two-dose series given about three weeks apart and is approved for those ages 16+. There is no need to schedule for second doses; the appointment time will be the same as the time your first dose was scheduled. The Johnson and Johnson brand is a one-dose vaccine for those ages 18+.

The clinic is at 1850 Davids Drive in Wilmington between the National Weather Service office to the east and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office to the west.

Second dose of Pfizer

The CCHD will be providing second doses of Pfizer vaccinations at these locations next week:

• AZEK

• Your Father’s Kitchen

• Cox Automotive

• Wilmington High School

• Clinton-Massie High School

NOTE: These clinics are not open to the general public and are a follow-up to complete the Pfizer vaccinations series for those previously vaccinated at those locations.

Children’s immunizations

CCHD continues to expand our children’s immunization program schedule back to pre-COVID capacity. However, these immunizations are by appointment only by calling 937-382-7221 ext. 125.
