Fun time planned for Galvin Park

WILMINGTON — A free event will be held this Saturday evening, July 25 at Galvin Park near downtown Wilmington, hosted by Calvary Baptist Church.

A bouncy house, popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs, cotton candy, face painting, balloon animals, chalk art and more are scheduled for the 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday time of fun, said organizers.

The food there will be free, too. The event is an outreach to the community, a spokeswoman said. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Galvin Park is the city park on North South Street (U.S. 68) across from the Wilmington Public Library.
